Good Beginnings Alliance Technical Assistance Program

This page is designed to provide community members interested in building their communities' capacity to care for its young children access to the greater network of early childhood community based initiatives and opportunities for technical assistance and training. Our partners are neighborhood-based efforts that seek improved outcomes for young children and their families as well as improvements in neighborhood conditions by working comprehensively across cultural, social, economic and physical sectors. Additionally, partners operate on the principle that community building -- that is, strengthening institutional capacity at the neighborhood level, enhancing social capital and personal networks, and developing leadership -- is a necessary aspect of the process of improving outcomes for young children.

Our job is to help communities find their own solutions to their questions because, while every community is focusing on improving results for children and families, every community is unique. We have the network to assist communities with a variety of training and technical assistance needs. TA team members represent a broad cross section of expertise, experience and are representative of the cultural diversity of Hawaii. Our primary customer is the network of active early childhood community initiatives in Hawaii.
