Dedicated to the betterment of early education and care for Native Hawaiian families with young children. The Consortium works to empower communities to identify their needs and values, facilitate communication and encourage participation between providers and families to ensure quality early childhood services. We also work towards creating community determined solutions to meet community needs, while incorporating cultural values into the care of young Native Hawaiian children statewide.

The Student Support Branch provides leadership and support to schools in assuring that a Comprehensive Student Support System (CSSS) is in place at every school.. This branch is responsible for addressing the primary, secondary, and tertiary needs of all students--building a support network which includes all other appropriate agencies, departments, and service providers. The branch also addresses the Felix Consent Decree.

They seek to strengthen the effectiveness of the many viable single-issue child advocacy groups by focusing public attention on the interdependence of children’s needs. HI Kids Watch sponsors the Children’s Budget Analysis that provides information on statewide spending for children’s programs.
