Other Early Childhood Community Initiatives Worth Looking At

These are a few of the other sister efforts around the county that we are aware which might provide you with useful information.

Missouri-  The Family and Community Trust is spearheading the system reform initiative to achieve Missouri's Mission . . . For children to have strong families, and communities where parents are working, children are succeeding in school, and growing up healthy, safe, and prepared to enter productive adulthood.

North Carolina-  Smart Start is a public-private initiative that provides early education funding to all of the state's 100 counties. Smart Start funds are administered at the local level through local nonprofit organizations called Local Partnerships.

Georgia:  Family Connection Partnership is a public/private partnership created by the State of Georgia and funders from the private sector. They assist communities in addressing the serious challenges facing Georgia's children and families. They also serve as a resource to state agencies across Georgia that work to improve the conditions of children and families.
