Provides children with a reward for reading books or having adults read to them in a free program that runs to July at all 51 of the state's public libraries. Children who will be preschool age to grade 6 this fall are eligible. Participants are encouraged to visit the library weekly and will receive incentives. This year's Get A Clue theme highlights mystery and suspense books; special programs and performers. www.librarieshawaii.org or call your local library. 54th Annual Meadow Healthy Baby Contest - 54th Annual Meadow Healthy Baby Contest registration on going. The registration period will run from June 15 to August 15, 2007. Entrants must be Hawaii residents born between December 9, 2004 and January 9, 2006. Prizes include a $2,500 savings bond. To enter, you must register your child for one of two preliminary rounds, to be held on Saturday, September 8 at Peralridge Center, Uptown; or Saturday, September 15 at Ala Moana Center, Center Stage. Robots: The Interactive Exhibition - Robots: The Interactive Exhibition Presented June 8-Aug. 5 at Pearlridge Center to celebrate 10 years of the mall's free summer exhibits. Kids First! Film Festival - Kids First! Film Festival: June 17-July 22 The festival, a project of the Coalition for Quality Children’s Media, makes its debut at the University of Hawaii-Manoa during the school’s Centennial Celebration. The Pacific Educational Conference - (PEC) will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii from July 9 to 12, 2007. Chefs Du Jour - Chefs Du Jour, a benefit for Easter Seals Hawaii, will be taking place on August 11, 2007 and will feature Alan Wong and a celebrity line up of Hawaii’s top culinary stars.
